The dermatophytosis of the scalp due to a fungus that is transmitted to humans by the dog or cat.

However transmitted from child to child when they share personal items such as combs, towels, pillows. Usually the hair affected by the fungus easily distracted thus generated to the head areas without hair diameter usually 1-5 centimeters. Also the scalp may be red with scales or blisters.

WORKAROUND

Treatment is with antifungal drugs administered orally for about 6 weeks. Also the child should be bathed with special shampoo. May return to school once treatment begins.
